Ergonomic
Services
The OHSD of ARC understands that the meeting
of human needs through an ergonomics approach
can reduce workplace injury, increase productivity,
improve product quality, increase job satisfaction
and contain costs. ARC offers a variety
of on-site ergonomic consulting services.
We work with you to address ways to decrease
injuries and reduce costs through sound
ergonomic principles and practices. We also
provide a proactive Workstation Ergonomics
Training Course to enable your employees
and managers to ensure their workstations
are ergonomically sound.
Physical Demands Analysis
On-site objective description and measurement
of the physical demands of a job. Essential
duties of the job are identified.
Job Site/Work Site Analysis
Including a PDA. Recommendations are made
on ergonomics and risk factors as well as
employee adaptations if requested. Recommendations
are provided for minimizing risk factors
and safety concerns, and for improvements
in ergonomics, and or productivity.
Job Suitability Assessments
With the utilization of a PDA, and functional
ability information, an employee’s
suitability for performing duties is assessed
and a report is completed providing job
suitability commentary, recommendations
on any administrative or ergonomic accommodation
requirements and time lines.
Ergonomic Assessment Services
Risk assessment of workstation, and/or job.
Engineering designs and policy/protocol
recommendations are made for improvements.
